Welcome!

Welcome to the home page of the Siouxland Samplers Quilt Guild. We are a group of quilters, quilt lovers, fiber artists, fabric collectors, and late-night sewers. We enjoy making quilts, sleeping under quilts, or just looking at quilts. The expertise and support and inspiration we receive from each other make our group one you'll want to belong to. If you would like to find out more about what we do as a group, see the "About Us" link.

Best of Show 2017

(quilt is "My Hosta" by Kay Dahlquist)

Our 2017 quilt show was a big success with hundreds of quilts from our Guild members and from traveling exhibits. We would like to share photos of the ribbon winning quilts from the show judged by Lincoln, NE, quilter and NQACJ certified judge Shelley Burge.

Simply follow the link below, then click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner, and select "slideshow". We hope you enjoy the quilts!

Note that there is a location change for our October 8th guild meeting. We will meet at The Pointe at Sunrise at 7:00 pm. The address is: 36 Eastview Drive, Sioux City, IA.

This meeting will be a "treat for a trick" meeting. Bring a halloween-themed quilt or home dec item that you have made that is halloween-themed, and you will receive a treat. Sounds like fun.

Check out the current newsletter for other items of interest pertaining to the guild.

See you October 8th!

Come join us on September 10th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City for our monthly Guild meeting. We will have some special guests from up North: members of the Sioux Prairie Quilt Guild that meets in Sioux Center will join us for a meet and greet. These members come from all over Sioux County, and they are responsible for the Tulip Festival Quilt Show held in Orange City every May. They will participate with us in an exchange project that we will kick off at the September meeting and then finish up in Spring, 2019. See the details for this project and for everything else going on in the Guild in our current newsletter. We will see you soon!

Join us August 13th for our last meeting of the summer. We will meet at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm, and our program will feature Tanya Harrison who owns a quilt shop near Fort Dodge in the town of Vincent, IA. If you visit Mrs. T's Mercantile you will find a wide range of quilt fabrics, notions, patterns, books, kits, pre-cuts and more. Her website is: http://www.mrstsmercantile.com/. Be sure to check out her gallery showing her quilt shop and some of her great quilted projects.

Don't forget about our Guild's Sweat Shop for quilts for charity to be held on August 11th. There are details in the minutes in the current newsletter which is attached. Also be thinking about the Guild's tree for the Festival of Trees to be held before Christmas. Details for this project are also in the newsletter.
